- Girona-Costa Brava Airport (GRO) or Reus Airport (REU): Lower fares, but expect about 1.5 hours of additional travel time to the city center.
- Note: When traveling from other major cities, it’s essential to book flights, trains, or bus tickets in advance to ensure availability and avoid higher last-minute prices.
- Accommodation:
- The city offers a wide range of accommodations from boutique hotels in the Gothic Quarter to luxury stays by the beach. For convenience, stay near major attractions like La Rambla, Passeig de Gràcia, or El Born.
- Budget travelers can consider hostels or Airbnb options in neighborhoods like Gràcia or Poble Sec.
- Getting Around: Barcelona has an excellent public transport system, including the metro, buses, trams, and bike lanes. - Metro/Train: The L9 Sud metro line and Rodalies R2 Nord train connect the airport to the city center. You can use your T-Casual or Hola Barcelona Card for either, with one journey being deducted from the card’s balance.
