Location: Eldhraun Lava Field, Ring Road (Route 1), about 40 km east of the charming town Vik, in the South Iceland region of Iceland.

Time and Date: Around 9 am on June 20, 2025.

Our Visit: Vík and Iceland’s South Coast – Scenic Drive Along Route 1.

    Interesting lava field. Are you allowed to walk on it?

      You can walk to viewpoints, but I don’t think you’re supposed to walk on the moss since it’s protected.
