Jyothi, looks so awesome! 🤩🧊
Sure ..it is!! Thanks!
Those photos capture exactly what makes Jökulsárlón so special, the way the icebergs drift silently past the tour boat on their way to the Atlantic is something photos barely do justice. I stood on that same black sand shore a while back and remember the blue light glowing through the older ice like stained glass. If you loved the lagoon, the blue ice caves under Vatnajökull in winter are the natural next step, crawling through tunnels of thousand-year-old ice felt like stepping inside the bergs themselves. One tip from my visit: go for the early morning light when the low sun rakes across the ice and the crowds are thinner, it is by far the best hour for photos. And wear windproof layers, the wind coming off the glacier cuts straight through ordinary jackets.
Glad to hear that you had a wonderful time! Thank you!
It really is so beautiful.
Thanks Hannah!
