  • Spring (March to May): Pleasant weather with mild temperatures, beautiful blossoms, fewer crowds, and moderate hotel prices.
  • Fall (September to November): Warm, comfortable temperatures, fewer crowds, occasional rain, and moderate hotel prices.
  • Summer (June to August): Hot temperatures, large crowds, and higher prices. While the days can be scorching, evenings are vibrant with festivals and outdoor activities.
  • Winter (December – February): Mild temperatures, fewer tourists, and lower hotel prices. Some attractions may have shorter hours, but it’s a peaceful, budget-friendly time to visit.
• How to get there
  • By Train/Bus/Car: Seville is well-connected to major cities in Spain, including Madrid (2.5-3 hours by train), Málaga (2 hours), and Granada (2.5 hours). You can travel comfortably by train or bus, or rent a car if you prefer more flexibility in your schedule.
  • Nearest Airports:
    • Seville Airport (SVQ): The main international airport, located just 10 km (15 minutes) from the city center, with numerous domestic and international flight options.
    • Málaga Airport (AGP): A popular alternative about 2 hours away, offering a wider range of flights, especially for international travelers.
    • Jerez Airport (XRY): About 1 hour from Seville, a good option for budget travelers flying from Spain or nearby European cities.
    • Madrid Airport (MAD): Major international hub with many direct flights to Seville. A quick 2.5-3 hour train ride from Madrid to Seville.
    • Barcelona Airport (BCN): Another option for international flights with connections to Seville by train (around 5.5 hours) or flight.
  • Note: When traveling from other major cities, it’s essential to book flights, trains, or bus tickets in advance to ensure availability and avoid higher last-minute prices.
• Accommodations:
  • Stay in Seville: The city offers a wide range of options from charming boutique hotels in the historic center (Santa Cruz, Triana) to luxurious stays near the river. For a true Seville experience, consider staying near the Alcázar or Plaza de España for easy access to the main attractions.
  • Day Trips: If you’re on a tighter budget, you can also stay in nearby cities like Córdoba, Málaga or Madrid for more affordable accommodations and take a train to Seville for a day trip.
• Getting around Seville: Seville has a well-connected public transport system, including buses, trams, and the metro, making it easy to explore the city. You can purchase transport cards like the Metro, Multi, or Tourist Card, based on your travel plans to make the most of your time in Seville.
  • Metro Card: Valid for travel on the metro system only, available at metro stations with payment by card or cash, Fare starts at €1.35 for a one way trip within one zone. (Note: The Seville Metro operates on a zone-based system and the fare is calculated based on the number of zones pass through.)
  • Seville Multi Card: Offers access to both the metro and buses, with options for single trips or a 7-day pass, ideal for frequent travelers. Available at metro stations, bus stations, and tourist offices, with payment by card or cash, Single trip: €1.40, 7-day pass: €16.50.
  • Seville Tourist Card: Offers unlimited access to the metro, buses, and trams, plus discounts on major attractions like the Alcázar and Seville Cathedral. Available online or at tourist offices, with payment by card or cash, 1-day: €5, 3-day: €10
  • Bicycle Rentals: Seville is a bike-friendly city, with rental options available through the Sevici bike-sharing system for short trips around the city.  Available at rental stations across the city, with payment via card or the Sevici app. Weekly subscription  €13.33.
  • Airport Transfers: 
    • Bus: EA Airport Bus (€4), 35 minutes to city center.
    • Taxi: €20-25, 15-20 minutes to city center.
    • Train: €2.60, 15 minutes to city center.

• Clothing:
  • For summer, pack light and breathable clothing such as cotton t-shirts, shorts, dresses, and skirts, along with comfortable shoes, a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and an umbrella for extra protection from the heat. A light jacket or sweater will be useful for cooler evenings in spring and fall.
• What to Expect:

• Check with your cell phone provider before traveling, some offer international roaming (free or for a fee). If not, consider a local SIM or eSIM from Vodafone, Orange, or Movistar (from €10-15 for 10-60GB). Available at airport kiosks, mobile shops, or online (passport required).
• Book your Alcázar of Seville and Seville Cathedral Tickets in Advance: It’s highly recommended to book your tickets for both attractions online and in advance to avoid long lines.
• Visit Popular Attractions Early: Consider visiting popular sites early in the morning to avoid large crowds and enjoy a more peaceful experience.
• Stay Hydrated: Especially during the warmer months, remember to drink plenty of water. There are numerous fountains throughout the city where you can refill your water bottle.
• Bring Cash, but Credit Cards Are Widely Accepted: While credit cards are widely accepted, it’s helpful to have some cash on hand for smaller purchases and tips.
• Camera, Phone, Portable Charger: Seville is a photogenic city, so bring your camera or smartphone to capture the moments. A portable charger is useful as you’ll likely be using your phone for navigation, photos, or restaurant bookings.
• Public Restrooms: Public Restrooms may be limited, so consider using facilities at cafes, restaurants, or major attractions. Some may have a small fee.
• Siesta Hours: Many shops and businesses close for siesta in the afternoon, typically between 2 PM and 5 PM. Plan your activities accordingly.
• Safety and Security: Seville is generally safe, but it’s always wise to take precautions, such as keeping an eye on your belongings in crowded areas. Knowing a few basic Spanish phrases can be helpful when interacting with locals.
